Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA – Top Iranian and French diplomats have held the second round of political talks between Iran and France in Paris. The talks, which have been held in the French capital on Friday, were attended by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi and France's Secretary General for Foreign Affairs Christian Masset. The political talks were held within the framework of the agreement signed during the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's visit to France in late January, 2016. The two sides also reviewed the progress being made in the cooperation between the ministries and other institutes of the two countries. Further, the 150-percent increase in Iran-France trade exchange was described as a positive move. The two, then, stressed the acceleration of the process of bilateral cooperation in agricultural, health, transportation, industrial, scientific and energy fields. To achieve the end, the two agreed to hold the first joint economic commission in the near future. Iran's Takht-e Ravanchi and France's Masset also reviewed the latest developments in the region, stressing the importance of further exchange of views on the regional questions. As the two agreed, the third round of political talks between Iran and France will be held in 2017 in Tehran. 1378/IRNA
