Iran For Good Ties With Islamic, Arab States: Envoy

Beirut, Feb 15, IRNA – Iran ambassador to Lebanon underlined that Iran foreign policy is based on good ties with neighbours and respect for bilateral relations with Islamic and Arab states. Ghazanfar Roknabadi was speaking on the occasion of 33rd anniversary of the Islamic revolution victory in Iran in a village in the east of Lebanon on Tuesday. In the ceremony, director of Lebanese Hezbollah public relations bureau Ebrahim Mousavi and a number of Lebanese scholars and personalities were present, too. The ambassador said that Iran urges Lebanese people to unity and solidarity against the Zionist regime threats. Referring to Iran foreign policy, the ambassador said that it is upon honor, justice, peace, friendship and development of bilateral relations with all Islamic and Arab states. Roknabadi added that Iran is ready to present its experiences in different fields to the regional Islamic countries. Ebrahim Mousavi, in his speech in the meeting, said that Islamic revolution was a unique model, which became a pattern for all other Muslims in the world. Regarding west sanctions against Iran, he said that Iran’s progress in different fields has been upon the nation's self-confidence and without relying on aliens./end
