Iran, India Natural Cooperative Partners: Zafrul Islam

New Delhi, June 14, IRNA – An Indian Muslim leader Thursday said that Iran and India are natural cooperative partners. In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Zafrul Islam Khan, President of All India Muslim Majlis Mushawarat in New Delhi said: “I am optimistic that Narendra Modi government would like to surge the momentum in fostering bilateral ties with Iran in all fields.ˈ He said that fostering relations between the two natural cooperative partners, India and Iran, will not be beneficial only for both the countries but will contribute to the peace and progress of the region and also the world. Noting that Iran a crucial energy party of India, Indian leader stressed that for the development of the country, where energy plays pivotal role, new government should not only continue a friendly policy with Iran, but to step up engagement in trade and economic areas. Zafrul Islam maintained that there were high-level contacts between the friendly nations, Iran and India. “It is high time for both the countries to act in a innovative ways and create economic opportunities,ˈ he added. “Having immense potential for expansion of ties, Iran and India can pave ways for the deep collaborative partnerships in all sectors for the betterment of the people of both the countries,” said Indian leader. He asserted that strongest relationship between Iran and India will contribute to a more secure, stable and prosperous region./end
