Iran Interested In Enhanced Ties With AALCO Members

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – Iran is interested in promotion of ties with Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) member states, Justice Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi said on Wednesday. He made the remarks in separate meetings with officials from Palestine, Lebanon, Sri lanka, UAE and Jordan on the sidelines of the 53rd annual meeting of AALCO in the Iranian capital, Tehran (September 15-18). He added that Tehran is ready to transfer its experience in all fields including the legal issues to AALCO member states. Important issues of International Law including law of the sea, rights of refugees, economic sanctions, international trade law as well as recent developments in Palestine was discussed in the meeting. AALCO is an international governmental organization formed in 1956, initially to serve as an advisory board to member states on matters related to international law. AALCO presently has forty-seven member states, comprising almost all the major States from Asia and Africa./end
