Iran To Invite Syrian Gov't Officials For National Dialog

Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister for the Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday Iran will invite Syrian government officials to attend National Dialog in Tehran. He made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Chairman and Secretary of Syrian National Coordinating Council Heisam Mana' and Raja' al-Naser. Pointing to the success and the positive results of the first round of Syrian national reconciliation in Tehran, Amir Abdollahian said Iran is not after making decision instead of Syrian nation, but, is to bring all opposition groups and the government together at the table to decide about their own fate in a non-violent atmosphere. He said that Iran contacted with all opposition groups in line with Iran's principled stance on Syrian crisis. The first National Dialog on Syria took place at Foreign Ministry to get the Syrian people out of the current deadly crisis and bring them to democratic process and hold free and fair election to form national reconciliation government./end
