Iran Invites Group 5+1 To Return To Negotiation Table - Jalili

Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA – Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said on Saturday that Iran has invited the Group 5+1 to come back to negotiations and cooperation. He told a conference on Islamic Awakening in presence of ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad that Iran receives conflicting messages from the European Union indicating that the European governments face acute differences of opinion. Citing the Supreme Leader's remarks to the ambassadors that Iran has developed dialog with international community in light of public participation in the governing system and divine values, Jalili said that Iran will focus on national strength, logic and reserves the right to take initiative in the upcoming negotiations. Jalili noted that Iran is currently at the height of strength which is encouraging for other nations to stand up to oppression, adding that the public support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the opportunity created by the regional and international developments have redoubled Iran's national power./end
