Iran Issues Indictments Against 18 US Officials

Tehran, Dec 18, IRNA - Judiciary spokesman Hojjatoleslam Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said on Monday that Iran's Judiciary has issued indictments for 18 American officials on charges of involvement in many crimes against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Speaking to reporters, he said before and after the Islamic Revolution a number of US officials directly or indirectly masterminded or committed crimes, offenses and acts of terrorism as well as planning a coup in Iran. To this end, Iran's Judiciary has issued indictments for some US officials to pursue their cases, he said. During a press conference, the judiciary spokesman expressed regret over recent criminal acts in the US which hurt sentiments of all people and said the how can the US, which is unable to maintain its own security, ensure the security of other countries?/end
