Iran, Jordan confer

Beirut, Dec 15, IRNA – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Tayseer Bani Yaseen on issues of mutual interests as well as the latest regional and international developments. During the meeting, Danesh-Yazdi also submitted Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif's letter for his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh. In his message, Zarif had referred to the outcome of the recent meeting held between Iran and the P5+1 (Russia, France, Britain, the US, China and Germany). Referring to the current developments in Iraq and Syria, Danesh-Yazdi called for respect for sovereignty, independence, national unity, and territorial integrity of the two Arab countries. He also underlined the need for a political solution to end the crises in Syria and Iraq. Bani Yaseen, for his part, said Jordan fully supports the progress of negotiation between Iran and the six big powers. The two sides also called for expansion of all-out ties and holding a joint commission session next year./end
