Iran, Jordan Officials Discuss Ways To Upgrade Ties

Amman/Beirut, Aug 7, IRNA – Iranian new ambassador to Jordan Mojtaba Ferdosipour and Deputy Jordanian Foreign Minister for Expatriate Affairs Mohammad Taisir Bani Yassen in Amman on Wednesday held talks to explore ways to expand bilateral relations. The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, including the timing and agenda of the 10th Iran-Jordan Joint Economic Commission session. During the meeting, the Iranian ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to the Jordanian deputy foreign minister. Mojtaba Ferdosipour who replaces Mostafa Moslehzadeh as Iranˈs ambassador to Amman, formerly served as the head of Foreign Ministryˈs first department of the Middle East and North Africa. Ferdosipour has also served as Iranˈs charge dˈaffaires in Jordan.
