Iran Keen On Developing Ties With Brunei : Rouhani

Tehran, June 24, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani here on Monday voiced Iranˈs interest in developing ties with Brunei in all possible areas. The President made the remarks while receiving the credentials of the new Brunei Ambassador to Iran Haji Moluk Bin Haji Jumat. He said that Iran and Brunei as two Islamic states enjoy good friendly relations. Pointing to the problems the Islamic world is confronting like violence and extremism, President Rouhani urged all Muslim countries to cooperate to eliminate these phenomena. Welcoming the future visit to Tehran of the Brunei Sultan, President Rouhani hoped for further expansion of mutual relations as an outcome of the visit. The newly-appointed ambassador too termed ties between the two nations as friendly and said a number of agreements are to be signed by the two countries during the Sultanˈs visit to Iran./end
