Iran to launch Zafar satellite by summer

TEHRAN,Jan.31(MNA) – The chancellor of the Iranian University of Science and Technology announced on Wednesday that the country would send a domestically-produced satellite named the Zafar (Triumph) into space by summer. Saeed Jabal-Ameli told reporters that the Zafar satellite is the second version of the Navid (Promise) satellite, which has more capabilities. The satellite is equipped with color cameras that can be used to monitor oil reservoirs and natural disasters.
