Iran-Lebanon Enjoy Strategic Ties : Jalili

Beirut, Aug 6, IRNA – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said Monday that Tehran and Beirut enjoy strategic and friendly relations. Upon arrival in Beirut, Jalili said Lebanon, today, is identified as a symbol of "resistance" both in the region and in the entire world. The Islamic Republic of Iran highly respects Lebanon due to the significant role the country plays in bringing about stability and security to the region, Jalili noted. On the Islamic Awakening movement, Jalili said it is an ample opportunity for the regional nations to fulfill their legitimate rights while the enemies are against establishment of regional peace. Jalili arrived in Lebanon Monday morning to review issues of mutual interests as well as the latest regional and international developments with senior Lebanese officials including President Michael Suleiman./end
