Iran Might Send Delegation To Pakistan To Survey Saravan Event

Tehran, Nov 2, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Parliamentary Affairs acknowledged possibility of dispatching a delegation to Pakistan to consider Saravan incident and stressed that the interior and foreign ministries will decide about the matter. Hassan Qashqavi said that the Saravan incident was a sad, bitter event and that he had participated in the Parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on behalf of the Foreign Ministry. He also said that it was now up to Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry follow up the case. He added that the diplomatic actions have been made in this concern and diplomatic talks in the highest level between the foreign and interior ministries with their counterparts in Pakistan have been done. Qashqavi continued that there is a possibility for dispatching a delegation to Pakistan and the two ministries are discussing on the issue. He concluded that no decision has been made so far about the details of the delegation./end
