Iran MP Slams Int’l Bodies Silence On Zionists Crimes In Gaza

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA – Rapporteur of Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini slammed Monday the “shameful silence” of international bodies against the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza. “World Muslims should find a way to remove this cancerous tumor (Zionist regime),” the MP told IRNA, criticizing the “unprecedented crimes” of the Zionists in Gaza Strip and the occupied lands. Criticizing US silence vis-a-vis the Zionist atrocities, Hosseini said, “US that invaded Iraq and Afghanistan under the pretext of supporting human rights, democracy, fight against terrorism and establishing peace and security, has kept silence along with the European Union and several Islamic states against the Zionists’ crimes in Gaza." The MP urged Muslim nations to strengthen their unity against plots made by enemies of Islam. He also criticized certain Muslim leaders for welcoming the “Zionist criminals.” “If Muslim countries stayed united against crimes committed by the Zionist regime and ended their silence, we would no longer witness such tragic scenes,” Hosseini stressed. He added that his commission was preparing the grounds to dispatch a delegation to Gaza to examine ways to send humanitarian assistance to the besieged region. Sunday was reported the bloodiest day of the Zionists aggression on Gaza Strip when 30 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli strikes. The new wave of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip started on November 14. Zionist leaders claimed the attacks were conducted for defensive purposes. Gaza has been blockaded since 2007. The Zionist regime denies basic rights of about 1.7 million people in Gaza such as freedom of movement, appropriate jobs, and adequate healthcare and education. The situation has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty./end
