Iran MPs Urge Govˈt To Give Crushing Response To US Nonsense

Tehran, Feb 6, IRNA – Members of Iran's Majlis (Parliament) in a statement on Thursday urged the government to give a crushing response to the vulgar words made by the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman on Iranˈs peaceful nuclear program. Some 190 out of total 290 parliamentarians, in a statement read out during this morning open session of Majlis, described Shermanˈs remarks as nonsense, saying she was talking palaver. A member of Majlis, Kamaleddin Pirmoazzen, said her anti-Iran and insulting remarks indicated the arrogant and bullying approach of Washington. Similar remarks to those uttered by Sherman, who is a member of US nuclear negotiating team, were repeatedly heard from US officials in the past few weeks, the statement reiterated.
