Iran Names New Envoy To Singapore

Tehran, May 20, IRNA – Javad Ansari was named on Saturday Iran’s new ambassador to Singapore. The appointment was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi and approval of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ansari has already served in various positions such as Iran’s consuls general in Dubai, Berlin, Munich and Brunei Darussalam, Director General for foreign minister's office, deputy foreign minister in charge of Institute for Political and International Studies and deputy foreign minister for Asia-Pacific affairs. He also served as the deputy director general for Eastern Asia and Pacific department at the foreign ministry./end
