Iran Negotiating Team Arrives In Vienna For N-talks

Vienna, March 18, IRNA – Iranˈs negotiating team led by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Vienna on Monday for a fresh round of nuclear talks with the P5+1. Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Abbas Araqchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, Director-General of Foreign Ministryˈs Political Department, Hamid Baeedinejad and two senior experts of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) are accompanying Zarif in his visit to Vienna. The opening session of the new round of talks in the UN Office in Vienna on Tuesday will be co-chaired by Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton who represents the six nations in nuclear talks with Iran. Araqchi and Catherine Ashtonˈs deputy Helga Schmid will chair the talks after the opening session. Like the previous talks last month, this new round of talks will be held following an interim nuclear deal on October 24 between Iran and the six powers in a bid to find a final and long-term solution to a decade-old dispute over Iranˈs nuclear program. Zarif said Sunday that as negotiations are becoming more accurate and difficult, a deal is not expected to be reached in the new round of talks. But he said that finding a final agreement within the six month deadline under Geneva deal is not out of reach./end
