Iran New Envoy Submits Copy Of Credentials To Azeri FM

Baku, Oct 13, IRNA – Iran new Ambassador to Baku Mohsen Pakaein submitted a copy of his credentials to Azerbaijan Republic Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on Friday. In the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest. The new ambassador said that during his tenure he will do his best to develop and promote ties in all fields. Mammadyarov, for his part, referred to efforts of certain foreign media to damage relations between the two friendly and neighboring states, adding that the two sides should not allow the alien media to interrupt bilateral ties. He underlined development of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic and reminded that regarding the existing situation, continuous talks between officials of the two countries can strengthen ties between Tehran and Baku. Pakaein was already ambassador to Uzbekistan, Zambia, Thailand as well as deputy in the Majlis (parliament)./end
