Iran-Oman Joint Military Committee Session Held In Tehran

Tehran, May 12, IRNA – The 10th Iran-Oman Joint Military Committee meeting was held in the presence of the two countries senior military officials here on Saturday. The meeting was jointly chaired by Deputy Chief of Staff of Armed Forces for Operational Affairs Brigadier General Mostafa Salami and his Omani counterpart Rashed Bin Seif Bin Al-Rashidi. The meeting was aimed at discussing avenues to bolster regional and international relations as well as expansion of bilateral cooperation in different fields of education, culture, sports and protecting sea borders. The Iranian and Omani officials also called for enhanced mutual cooperation in all areas. The 9th Joint Military Committee meeting was held in February 2011 in Muscat./end
