Iran-Pakistan Have Exemplary Ties : Iranian Governor

Peshawar, Nov 18, IRNA – Iran’s Governor of Fars province, Hussain Sadiq Abeden on Saturday said that Iran and Pakistan have exemplary relations and the people of two countries are bound together in centuries-old ties of brotherhood. He made the remarks while talking to IRNA upon his arrival at Peshawar to hold talks with the leadership of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. A twenty member high level delegation is accompanying the Iranian Governor. Iranian Consul General in Peshawar Hasan Darwish Wand, Senior Provincial Minister Rahim Dad Khan, Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Commissioner Peshawar Tariq Jamil, Zubair Ali, President Peshawar Chamber of Commerce and Industry other senior officials and diplomats received the Iranian governor on his arrival at Peshawar airport. During his stay in Peshawar, Iran’s Governor will meet Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti, and will also visit Peshawar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On the occasion Hussain Sadiq Abeden reiterated the significance of improving mutual relations in diversified fields. He said that Iran and Pakistan have exemplary relations and people of both the countries share the same sentiment for each other. The Iranian Governor went on to say that Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Iran’s several provinces including Fars are cooperating with each other in the fields of trade and economy. He said that last year Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s delegation visited Iran and discussed ways to enhance the cooperation with Far province of Iran. Hussain Sadiq Abeden said that he is in Pakistan to further boost the bilateral cooperation. Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain talking to IRNA said that the visit of Iranian Governor will give new dimension to relations between the two provinces that will prove source of construction and development and welfare of people of both the countries./end
