Iran plans to host big ministerial meeting on Afghanistan: Envoy

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian president's special envoy for Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi said on Wednesday that Iran has plans to host a major ministerial conference on Afghanistan in the near future to help improve the security conditions in the neighboring country. Kazemi Qomi made the remarks speaking at a meeting in Moscow on Afghanistan. The US policy is based on assassination and terrorism, he said, noting that what is going on in Afghanistan is the consequence of 20 years of US occupation. He warned that if the friendly countries fail to manage the conditions in Afghanistan, everything may go worse. The Iranian envoy expressed hope that the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan will help improve Afghanistan’s conditions and help the recognition of the country’s government by international community. He also voiced concern about US proxies that are carrying out terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
