Tehran, May 7, IRNA – New Portuguese Ambassador to Tehran Mário Fernando Nunes and Iran's Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi here on Sunday stressed the need for expansion of Iran-Portugal relations. Receiving a copy of the Portuguese diplomat's credentials here on Sunday, Salehi hoped for further promotion of bilateral ties in economic, commercial, cultural, scientific and academic domains. The minister said abundant capacities available in Iran provide a suitable opportunity for presence of Portuguese merchants and entrepreneurs, especially the private sector.
