Iran President: Unity Best Way To Confront Enemiesˈ Plots

Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for vigilance of nations against enemies plans to create conflicts and disunity, adding that unity, and paying attention to peopleˈs rights are the best way to confront enemiesˈ conspiracies. According to the report of Presidential Office website on Tuesday, President Ahmadinejad, in a meeting with Head of Iraqˈs Supreme Islamic Council Seyed Ammar al-Hakim, by referring to existing crises in the region, said that world arrogance has repeatedly announced that it is seeking to shape a new Middle East and their aim is to protect the Zionists. By underlining necessity of unity among Iraqi ethnic groups and vigilance of Iraqi people against enemiesˈ plots, Ahmadinejad said that nowadays, enemies, by creating disunity and escalation of internal disputes in countries of the region are following their dominance plans . He added that governments should defend all peopleˈs rights and should not make any distinctions between ethnic groups. Head of Iraqˈs Supreme Islamic Council, for his part, felicitated birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the sixth Imam of Shia and also presented a report on internal situation in Iraq. Seyed Ammar Hakim said that world hegemonic powers intend to create differences and conflicts between ethnic and religious groups and take advantage of this situation.
