Iran President's Special Envoy Meets Congo President

Tehran, July 9, IRNA -- Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Security Abdolreza Sheikholeslami on Sunday met Congo-Brazzaville President Denis Sassou Nguesso to deliver President Ahmadinejad’s letter of invitation to him to attend Summit of Leaders of Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran. He said Iran attaches high importance to its ties with African countries and is interested in cooperation with the African nations. Nguesso also said the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) respects the Islamic Republic of Iran and is keen on enhanced ties with Iran. “It is a great pleasure for RC to participate at the NAM Summit meeting in Tehran and will spare no efforts for materialization of the goals set by Leaders of the Non-Aligned Movement, “he said./end
