Iran Protests To Pakistan Over Negligence Of Terrorist Movements On Border Area

Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA – Iran on Saturday protested to Pakistani government over negligence of terrorist movements on common border. Director General of the West Asia Department at Foreign Ministry gave a note to Pakistani charge d’affaires to convey Iranian protest to the Pakistani government for negligence about the the terrorist elements coming from Pakistani soil to Iran border. On Friday, 14 Iranian border-guards were martyred and six others injured by terrorist groups on zero border point in Saravan and the terrorists fled to Pakistani soil afterwards. The Iranian official called on Pakistani government to abide by mutual security cooperation pact and the accord on extradition of criminals. Iran expects the Pakistani government to arrest the leaders and members of terrorist group that have fled to Pakistani soil and punish them, the Foreign Ministry official said. The Pakistani diplomat regretted at martyrdom of Iranian border-guards and said he would convey Iranian protest to the Pakistani government and Islamabad will investigate the case soon./end
