Iran Ranks 1st In Uzbekistan Food Festival

Dushanbe, May 12, IRNA – Iran came first among 37 countries in the 11th international art, culture, local and national food festival in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan. The festival was held in Diplomatic Park in Romanov Palace Complex in Tashkent and wrapped up on Saturday. During the exhibition, art groups from different countries presented their artistic works. Participating countries in the Tashkent festival were; Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Tajikistan, Russia, Poland, Germany, South Korea, Japan, China, Kuwait, Malaysia, India, Egypt, Indonesia, France, Turkey, USA, Vietnam, Jordan, Azerbaijan Republic, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Georgia, Britain, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Czech Republic, Belarus, and Uzbekistan. First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov said in the inauguration ceremony that the aim of the festival is getting to know cultural and food diversity among foreign countries. Iran Ambassador to Tashkent Ali Mardani-fard also delivered speech in the inauguration ceremony and appreciated diplomatic service section of Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry for organizing the festival. In the closing ceremony, Vladimir Norov presented an appreciation plaque to Iranˈs ambassador in Tashkent./end
