Iran ready to help Libya with reconstruction process: Iranian deputy FM

TEHRAN, April 30 (MNA) -- An Iranian Foreign Ministry official said that Tehran is ready to provide assistance to Libya to help with the reconstruction process and expressed satisfaction with the course of events in the North African country. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks during a meeting with a number of Libyan media people in Tehran on Sunday. During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that relations between the two countries would improve after a democratically elected government is established in the country. “The people and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran are closely following the developments in the great and Muslim country of Libya and are content with the course of events and the victory of the popular revolution in the country,” he stated.
