Iran ready to strengthen Lebanese army - Defense Minister

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 27 / Trend S.Isayev, T. Jafarov/ Iran is ready to help strengthening Lebanese army, Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said at a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Fayez Ghosn in Tehran, Fars news reported. Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn, in his turn, noted that Lebanon welcomes this decision by Iran. During the two rounds of talks, the sides discussed a number of issues, including the Israel related questions. Vahidi stressed the importance of the full support to protection of Lebanon against external threats and terrorism, and noted Lebanon should have a strong army to protect itself.
