Iran Ready To Vigorously Respond To Any Hostile Measures :Defense Min.

Tehran, May 20, IRNA – Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Iran is ready to give a vigorous response to any kind of hostile activities. The minister made the remarks here Monday during the unveiling ceremony of the mass production line of new air defense system called Herz IX. Noting that the new system is designed and manufactured by the Iranian experts and engineers, he said it is capable of tracking and hitting targets in low altitudes in an intelligent and automotive manner. He cited high movement capabilities, mobility and night-time performance abilities as the basic features of the new defense system, saying that it could get ready to be used just in minutes. Stressing Iran’s high military might and its ability to confront enemies’ threats, he also said the brave Iranian army, gaining strength from the experiences of the eight years of the 1980-88 sacred defense with the toppled Saddam regime, is ready to suppress any kind of hostile movements against the country./end
