Iran Resolved To Promote Ties With Russia: Official

Moscow, June 19, IRNA – Iranˈs Deputy Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raeisi said that the countryˈs officials are determined to enhance relations with Russia. Talking to reporters Wednesday, he added that ancient ties between Tehran and Moscow are growing on the basis of good neighborliness. Referring to his meting with the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council Ravil Gaynutdin, Raeisi said that Russiaˈs chief Mufti underlined enhancement of ties with Tehran and mutual cooperation in the fields of religion, culture and Islamic training during the meeting. Raeisi further noted, ˈWe have good ties with Russian Muslims and we welcomed development of such relations during the meeting.ˈ The Iranian official further noted that they underscored the significance of unity among the Muslims and avoiding extremism and creating discords. He also said that legal and judiciary relations can help strengthen Iran-Russia ties. Raeisi who is currently in Russia also vowed to explain Iranˈs experience in the field of law during Saint Petersburg International Legal Meeting./end
