Iran, Role Model For Oppressed Nations: Religious Leader

Islamabad, May 1, IRNA – Provincial chief of Pakistani’s top religious party has said that oppressed nations must use the experience of Iran in fighting against tyrannical and US puppet regimes. Talking to IRNA, Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa Ameer of the Jamaat-e-Islami Prof Mohammad Ibraheem Khan agreed with the remarks of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that Islamic awakening will lead to re-emergence of the Islamic civilization in a near future. Addressing the opening of the international gathering of “Ulema and the Islamic Awakening” in Tehran, the Ayatollah said Islam offers a new outlook towards life, politics, government and social developments. Prof Mohammad Ibraheem Khan said that remarks of the Supreme Leader at the conference can provide guidance to Muslim countries and all those countries which want to survive independently. He said that Father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini after a long struggle rooted out the US controlled government of Shah in Iran. The former Senator added that Imam Khomeini had started the Islamic Awakening movement in Iran and this movement is the source of inspiration for other Islamic countries. “No doubt the experience of Iran is valuable for the oppressed nations,” added the political leader. Prof Mohammad Ibraheem Khan was of the view that actual war is between Muslims and non-Muslims. “It is the war of ideology,” he said. He was of the opinion that western powers are trying to create differences among Muslim Ummah. The religious leader stressed the need for unity among Muslims against the western conspiracies. The politician added that people of Arab world are fed up with their despotic rulers. The former Senator said that new wave of awakening in Arab countries have roots in Islam. Prof Mohammad Ibraheem Khan said that it is the need of hour that Ummah must lead the humanity. The JI leader said that he was also invited to attend the conference on Islamic awakening in Tehran but as he is contesting elections in Pakistan so he could not attend the event. He said that next year he would definitely participate in the conference. The religious leader expressed gratitude to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for inviting him to attend the conference./end
