Iran, Russia Calls For Expansion Of Parliamentary Ties

Moscow, Jan 22, IRNA – Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaee in a meeting with Duma Vice-Speaker and Head of the Russia-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group Nikolai Levichev on Wednesday, called for expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two nations. Both Iran and Russia are against interference of foreign countries in regional affairs, Sanaee said, adding that such bilateral cooperation played a key role in controlling the Syrian crisis and preventing a new war in the region. The two sides also agreed to further boost all-out ties and take necessary measures to increase parliamentary consultations./end
