Iran says if 5+1 adopts rational approach talks will bear fruit

TEHRAN,Oct.31(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Tuesday that if the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) recognizes Iran’s right to develop a full nuclear fuel cycle, the disputes over Tehran’s nuclear program will be resolved very quickly. Mehmanparast dismissed a report that the 5+1 group plans to put forward a new proposal and lift some sanctions against Tehran, saying such reports should be officially confirmed by Iran’s representatives in the nuclear talks. He also said that the Iranian negotiating team has put forward proposals and is waiting for a response by the 5+1 group. Asked about Iran’s stance toward the U.S. presidential election, Mehmanparast said Iran believes that if any government that comes to power in the United States respects other nations’ rights, end its hostilities against the Iranian people, and regret its mistakes, it can gradually erase the bad memories of the country in the minds of Iranians. Iraq should be vigilant against enemies’ conspiracies On Sunday, Iraq stopped an Iranian flight bound for Syria to check for possible shipment of weapons to Syria. Mehmanparast showed Iran’s dissatisfaction over the inspection, saying the Iraqi government should not allow the enemies to sow discord between Tehran and Baghdad. The search was the second carried out by Baghdad in October.
