Iran says ready to facilitate dialogue to help Syria crisis

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Tuesday voiced Tehran’s readiness to facilitate talks to alleviate concerns in Syria. The foreign minister made the remarks in a meeting in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Amirabdollahian reiterated that political dialogue is the only way out of the situation in Syria, underlining the need to avoid any military action. He renewed Iran’s invitation of the Turkish president for a travel to Tehran and participation in a high meeting of bilateral cooperation. The foreign minister also talked about the talks about lifting the arbitrary sanctions on Tehran and stressed that if the American side is realistic enough, a good, reliable, and sustainable deal is within the reach. He also referred to certain movements in the region by the Zionist regime, and said that the insecurity is the only outcome of the presence of this regime in this region. The Turkish president, for his part, expressed hope that he will travel to Tehran at a proper time for holding a high meeting of bilateral cooperation. President Erdogan underlined the significance of the Palestinian issue and said that Palestine is the main issue of the Muslim world.
