Iran Seeking To Boost Ties With LatAm States: VP

Tehran, June 16, IRNA - First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, on Monday that the Islamic Republic is seeking to expand relations with all Latin American countries. Jahangiri made the remarks in a meeting with Uruguayˈs President José Mujica on the sidelines of the Group-77 plus China Summit. Despite the long distance, there are good relations between Iran and some Latin American states, he added. He voiced the Islamic Republic of Iranˈs readiness to expand relations with Uruguay in all possible areas. Jahangiri stressed that Iran is ready to provide Uruguay with valuable experiences and knowhow. Mujica, for his part, called for reinforcement of all-out cooperation with Tehran./end
