Iran Self-sufficient In Almost All Sectors Of Defense Industries - Minister

Firouz Kouh, Tehran prov, Sept 8, IRNA – Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Iran is self-sufficient in almost all sectors of its defense industry. Talking in a ceremony to pay tribute to memory of the eight-year imposed war, he told IRNA that his ministry was planning to attain self-sufficiency in every possible field in the coming years. He said that Iran has for long become one of the world’s major military powers by reinforcing and improving the abilities of its armed forces. The minister said the defense industry has been forced to rely only on its own capabilities and potentials, stressing that the move has led to its self-sufficiency./end
