Iran Seriously Against Nuclear Weapons : MP

Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA – Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi Sunday said Iran is seriously against nuclear weapons and has adopted a clear policy in that regard. Criticizing US's big lie about Iran's move towards producing nuclear weapons, the MP regretted that the lie has now become the belief of the US congressmen. If the US congressmen are really concerned about atomic bomb, they had better focus on the Zionist regime that is threatening security of the Middle East region and the whole world by possessing over 200 nuclear warheads ignoring all international obligations, Boroujerdi said in an address to the Majlis open session. The MP said, Nuclear weapon is Iran's red line. We believe that we should continue our peaceful nuclear activities respecting this red line to meet our demands. Referring to the ongoing situation in Egypt, Boroujerdi said the case of Egypt has once more proved Irans thoughtful view that US is not trustworthy. The truth is that triggering civil war in Islamic states and massacre of Muslims by their compatriots, are policies of Washington and Tel Aviv in the region, said the MP referring to the ongoing situation in Syria. Boroujerid urged Muslim states to free themselves from US-Zionist trap as soon as possible and target their enemies with their weapons./end
