Iran Sports Minister Meets Head Of Azerbaijani Caucasus Muslims Office

Baku, July 13, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth Mohammad Abbasi in continuation of his official meetings with Azerbaijan Republic officials here Thursday met and conferred with Head of Azerbaijani Caucasus Muslims Office Allah Shakour Pashazadeh. In the meeting Sheikul-Islam Pashazadeh expressed satisfaction over the excellent level of ties between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic. He also appreciated the Iranian government for supporting Azerbaijanˈs stands at the international organizations. Pashazadeh also referred to the glorious presidential election in Iran, adding that friendly relations between both sides have entered a new phase and cooperation in the sports and youth field will definitely contribute greatly to strengthening of relations. Abbasi, too, emphasized in the meeting that the two countriesˈ relations are friendly and deep-rooted. He added that Iran considers the independence, advancement, and stability of Azerbaijan as its own progress and will just like the past spare no effort for the expansion of these relations.ˈ He said that the cultural and sports potentials, as well as the two countriesˈ numerous commonalities are the best guarantees for ensuring the progress of shared objectives. Abbasi said that ties between the Iranian-Azerbaijani nations and governments are unique, brotherly, and based on historical ties.
