Iran Strongly Maintains Hormuz Strait Security, Navy Commander

Tehran, April 3, IRNA - Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran will powerfully bring about security to the Strait of Hormuz. Addressing a press briefing, Sayyari said that Velayat 90 war games proved that Iran’s naval forces were well capable of providing security in the Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman and Indian Ocean. The Iranian forces are ready to play active role in the international waters, said the commander adding all countries have right to be present in the international waters. Sayyari stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is in full readiness to safeguard its national interests./end
