Iran summons Bahrain diplomat, protests embassy protest

TEHRAN, Feb. 14 (MNA) --The Bahraini charge d’affaires to Tehran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry on Monday to express Iran’s protest at a state-sponsored demonstration in front of the Iranian embassy in Manama in which some “known persons” chanted slogans against Iranian officials. The Foreign Ministry called such moves “unacceptable” and called on Bahrain to stop the repetition of such actions. Manama officials have been claiming that the pro-democracy movement in Bahrain is being provoked by Iran, a charge refuted by Iranian officials.
