Iran summons Yemeni charge d'affaires in protest at Sana'a terror

Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA – Following an explosion in Sana'a which caused damage to the residence of Iranian ambassador to Yemen on Wednesday, Yemeni charge d'affaires in Tehran was summoned to Foreign Ministry later in the day. According to the department of media diplomacy of Foreign Ministry, Foreign Ministry official conveyed Iran's strong protest to the Yemeni government over the failure of the government of Sana'a to efficiently protect diplomatic missions of Iran in Yemen. The Foreign Ministry urged the Yemeni government to take immediate action to bring to justice the terrorists responsible for the attacks and sought assurances from Sana'a government that such acts of terror would never happen again. The Yemeni charge d'affaires, for his part, expressed regret over the terrorist action and said he would immediately communicate the Iranian protest and demand to Sana'a government. /end
