Iran-Turkey Call For Enhancing Parliamentary Ties

Tehran, May 12, IRNA – Iranian Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs Lotfollah Forouzandeh and Head of Turkish Parliamentˈs Foreign Relations Committee Bakar Bozdaq in a meeting in Ankara on Thursday underlined the need for further expansion of bilateral parliamentary ties. During the meeting attended by the Iranian Ambassador to Turkey Alireza Bigdeli, the two sides exchanged views on Iran-Turkey relations, parliamentary ties, role of parliamentary relations in promotion of mutual cooperation between Tehran and Ankara. The Iranian vice-president voiced his satisfaction with his invitation to Turkey, and said, ˈIran and Turkey are two important, brotherly and friendly countries with ancient cultures and relations. Bozdaq described Iran and Turkey as not only two neighborly countries with deep historical, cultural and social interests, but two friendly brotherly and brotherly countries with strong will for broadening of relations./end
