Iran-Turkey Co-op, Effective In Settling Regional Crises - MP

Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA – A parliamentarian underlined the importance of cooperation between Iran and Turkey, saying it plays a key role in resolving regional crises, the Syrian issue in particular. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel made the remarks in a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Umit Yardim. Haddad Adel said Tehran-Ankara cooperation can also strengthen peace and security in the World of Islam. The MP reiterated that Iran and Turkey enjoy cultural and religious commonalities and have amicable relations based on mutual respect. For his part, the Turkish diplomat described Tehran-Ankara ties as growing, saying his country is determined to further boost all-out relations between the two nations. Haddad Adel also met and conferred with new Japanese Ambassador to Iran Koji Haneda, calling for further expansion of parliamentary relations between the two countries./end
