Iran-Turkey Explore Ways To Expand Ties

Ankara, Feb 4, IRNA – Iranˈs Consul General in Istanbul Mohsen Mortezaeifar conferred on Monday with new bureau chief of Turkish foreign ministry in Istanbul Ipekogur Kenan on ways to expand ties between both countries. In the meeting, both officials examined various grounds for expansion of all-out relations between Iran and Turkey. Bolstering ties will lead to expansion of cooperation in various fields, Mortezaeifar said. The two sidesˈ officials are determined to increase current level of bilateral trade exchange and the recent exchange as is evident in recent of exchange of visits by Iranian and Turkish officials, he said. Ipekogur Kenan, for his part described the recent visit of Turkish premier to Tehran as positive and expressed the hope to host high ranking Iranian politicians in Istanbul in near future. Turkey supports Iran’s stands at international gatherings, he said, adding that his country is willing to promote consular cooperation with Iran./end
