Iran-Turkey To Help Resolve Syria's Humanitarian Crisis

Tehran, March 12, IRNA – Iran and Turkey have agreed to help resolve the humanitarian crisis in Syria, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Tuesday. He made the remarks in a meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu. “Iran and Turkey are willing to cooperate on ending the political crisis in Syria.” Amir Abdollahian said that Iran and Turkey have agreed to speed up delivery of relief aid supplies to the Syrian people. He said that the Iranian and Turkish governments have decided to help the Syrian people fight terrorism and extremism and go ahead with national reconciliation. “The countries which dispatch weapons to professional terrorists in Syria should be responsible for the human tragedy and bloodshed in the country.” He noted that Iran and Turkey have common view to end the Syrian crisis by democratic means and hold free and fair election in Syria to put an end to bloodshed and terrorism./end
