Iran, Turkey hold joint consular summit

TEHRAN, Mar. 11 (MNA) – 16th joint consular meeting of Iran and Turkey was held in Tehran yesterday. The meeting was led by Head of Consular Affairs of Iran Foreign Ministry, Ali Chegini, and his Turkish counterpart, Mehmet Samsar. The sides discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation and the ways to facilitate transfer of nationals and settling their problems. Expansion of ties, improvement of the conditions of transportations, welfare of students, fighting drug smuggling and human trafficking, and the procedures of prisoner exchange were also among the discussed issues. Both sides described the talks as positive and decided to hold the next round in Turkey.
