Iran, Turkey Sign Agreement On Extradition Of Prisoners

Ankara, May 11, IRNA – Iran and Turkey signed an agreement to extradite prisoners as a humanitarian measure, Turkish media said on Saturday. Based on the agreement, the prisoners must serve their jail terms in their own countryˈs prisons upon a renewed verdict. Representatives of Iranian and Turkish justice and foreign ministries reached the agreement after long discussions. Meanwhile, as the first step to implement the agreement, an Iranian serving his prison term in an Istanbul prisons will be extradited./end
