Iran Unveils Indigenous Combat Drone

Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA - Commander of the Armys Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan unveiled an indigenous combat drone Yaser here on Saturday. The new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which has high flight capabilities, has a flight endurance of eight hours and a flight ceiling of 24,000 feet. In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and has attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems. Iran unveiled its first indigenous long-range drone, Karrar, in August 2010. Shahed-129 and Hazem 3 are two other indigenous Iranian UAVs./end
