Iran Urges China To React Against Excessive Demanding Of Certain States

Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani asked his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping Tuesday evening to fulfill his responsibilities towards excessive demanding of certain states. President Rouhani made the remarks in a telephone conversation while talking about the latest situation of bilateral ties as well as nuclear talks. The Iranian President said Tehran is fully determined to solve the existing problems within the framework of the international regulations. He further described the recent Iran-5+1 negotiations as fruitful, stressing the talks has so far witnessed major advance. He said Iran is interested in reaching agreement while defending its legitimate rights. President Rouhani stressed that Tehran has always tried to remove concerns of any state regarding its peaceful nuclear activities. The Chinese President, too, said his country attaches great importance to strategic ties with Iran, stressing that the world states should take stance on the basis of mutual respect, equality and peace. Jinping further lauded positive developments in Iran’s foreign policy following the inauguration of the new Iranian government. As to the recent nuclear talks in Geneva, he said China will play effective role in solving the existing question. China is one of the members of the Group 5+1. At the end, the Chinese President expressed sympathy with the Iranian nation and government on the Tuesday terrorist attack in front of Iran’s Embassy in Beirut that killed many civilians including the Iranian cultural attaché in Lebanon./end
