Iran, US To Negotiate In Geneva Today

Tehran, Aug 7, IRNA – Representatives of Iran and the US will hold a bilateral negotiation in Geneva on Thursday. Talks would be in the level of deputy foreign ministers. Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi from Iran and William Burns and Wendy Sherman from US would lead the talks. Also experts from both countries are participating in the talks. A member of Iranˈs nuclear talks team told IRNA that the aim of negotiation is to continue consultations on disputed issues and consider ways to make viewpoints closer to each other. The talks are the first round of negotiation during extension period of comprehensive talks after Vienna VI , July 2-19. Iran and Group 5+1 in Vienna VI talks could not reach an agreement because of differences on enrichment level, so both sides renewed period of talks for another four months until November 24, 2014./end
